I am a self taught artist. I learned what I know by throwing myself at what I love. My first memory of art as I know it came from my father, an art teacher for most of his life and free thinker for all of it, who spent his free time painting pictures in the kitchen or throwing pots in the studio. I have since encountered more people than I can mention that have supported my every step. I believe art is life lived, it is experiences and actions based on those experiences. It is in no way confinable to a surface or material or medium or a wall.It is anything and everything at once all rolled up into how you are who you are. That said, this is who I am...

  • My favorite place on earth is New York City, hands down. I love the way it smells, sounds, feels, looks. I love it head to toe.
  • I am deathly afraid of large bodies of water. They make me feel like something enormous is right underneath me and will swallow me at any moment.
  • I like being lost. I like wandering and finding my way. I spent days in London and Dublin making myself lost so I could find my way.
  • I love fireflies and hate june bugs.
  • I love the rain and hate the heat.
  • Coke over Pepsi, Adidas over Nike, Cubs over Sox, Stones over Beatles, Biggie over Tupac, and Mac for sure.
  • I can't name a single favorite movie, but i definitely prefer documentaries 8.5 times out of 10.
  • Two major influences on my childhood were a King Kong poster above my bunk bed and Kiss album covers.
  • Three of my most memorable concert experiences have been 1. Wilco, Central Park, 2003 2. Antipop Consortium, Northsix, 2003 and 3. Gear Daddies, Yacht Club, 1994.
  • Three of my most memorable artworld experiences have been 1. Matthew Barney's Cremaster Cycle, Guggenheim Museum, 2. Hieronymus Bosch's Garden of Earthly Delights, The Prado, and 3. Pablo Picasso's The Weeping Woman, The Tate.
  • I enjoy watching the Trailer Park Boys, seeing any idiot newscaster on Fox lose his shit, but especially that vintage O'Reilly one, squealing tires, throwing candy at the movies and apples at semis, a good day buzz, a hard day's work, a skyline on the way in, tacos from a truck, and an upset.
  • Piglet, my 13 year old terrier, is overweight and bites and I love him dearly.
  • The single most amazing thing on earth is my son Finn.

I hope you enjoy the site.
